Polysterene Concxrete

continue with references to best bands in South America. In this case we have here the only LP TRAINING 2000 (" The world upside down"), a band of Argentina in the early 70s (1970-LP), which are psychedelic. A very rare album of psychedelia America, contains 12 beautiful songs of which there are 3 covers, 2 by Creedence Clearwater Revival: "Proud Mary" and "Bad Moon Rising" ("Proud Mary" released earlier in 1969 as a 7 " containing the" B side "the issue" Tomorrow will be "which is also included on the LP) and one of the best versions I heard in my life of Susie Q. (Hawkes), but there are 2 tracks on this album that are great, the song" Sun King's Castle "a melodrama psychedelic dark ages where you can hear thunder and rain and the track Black Sabbath (from the very English band) and "Fun" an issue that could be quietly on the Nuggets compilation, incredible.

Lymphoma Spread To The Brain

THE LLOPIS were one of the few youth groups to make Rockabilly CUBA . But despite all his musical career was exceptional, standing out in countries like Mexico and Spain (also in Latin America).

Uruguay was the exception not ascribe worship to this great band Rock and Roll primal, so that is published in Uruguay this great EP (still at 45 rpm ) called " ROCKABILIDAD " under the label that Peerless contains 4 fabulous and dynamic songs. Side A opens with the magnificent " Happy Baby " a great theme, very swing and rhythm in the style of Bill Haley . It also contains "Basta Arturo", "Singing My Sorrows" and "Pachanga The "

COLD COFFEE was a band that wrote its history between 1969 and 1972. A band with a clear aesthetic "WEST COAST" since its formation where their ranks are the sisters PAGLIA, which gave a touch Jefferson Airplane, his attire and sound psychedelic clearly very well executed, almost as if they were a California band!. In this simple we listen to the excellent version of " FLYING HIGH "(Flying High) of the band Country Joe and the Fish in Side B, which for me is the best simple theme, highlighting the excellent use of pedal Hernest FUZZ by SOCA, who undertook live against explicit published his virtuosity on his Gibson SG. And in the next version of VENUS A very similar to the original that made the Dutch Shocking Blue. Recommended for fans of Latin Garage, or for the curious who want to know more about the Uruguayan rock!

1) In your own handwriting, do yourself a little history of the band.

The group was the product of a collage of two musical cultures, back in year 72, come to lima William Van Lacke and Dario Gianella from Buenos Aires and join us by then we were separated from the Telegraph group Avenue. Here we gave the paint and color to these beautiful songs that brought Darius, then we did not realize what we were doing, was a short stage but fleeting, I describe it like a comet across the land and let a beam of light that lasts over time.

2) For Telegraph Avenue came threatening and with a sound hard, but if Tarkus has been characterized as the heaviest band of 70's South American, with influences of Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, what impact they had in the environment and the general public?

Tarkus's music at that time was not available to the average listener, was heavy with surreal lyrics, dark but very musical, so there was little public response or support from the label, but things did so craft and the result was that today this music remains alive.

3) Their only LP was released in 1972 under the label MAG. This edition is very rare and today is the subject of the most prestigious collectors of the genre. What is your opinion of the re-release of Repsychled Records?

Yes, we know that the original disk from which only 500 copies left today are paying collectors around the world for thousands of dollars, is rare but we only have a record of these and no lid, so I guess it they will have it for a collector, almost all afuera.Con auctioned on the reissue on CD, this had to do with the return of the group to the scene, he was producing the second reissue when Christian Van Lacke (guitarist, son of original bassist) comes to Lima from Argentina to settle down in Peru, Andres Tapia Repsychled label owner gets in touch with him, that work with this production, hence the call from Alex (voiced by and under this new formation), who lives in California, saying it was coming to Lima for a short time, and Christian Walo occur to them to make a presentation to the people that had been left with the desire to see them and for future generations to consider the group as the starting point of the genre in these latitudes, the performance was so magical that this will wound up to follow, hence Alex until today has been 3 times to Lima, we played at the Harvest Festival for more than 10,000 people in Huacho, also played in a TV special and took the opportunity to record the songs unpublished group, including two that were recorded for the first album and did not see the grooves of vinyl and then lost, these are Ella Anda and Lulu are flying, 2 of the 9 tracks that will have the new production.

4) Tell us where the band is today. (Shows, recording the new album Tarkus, training ...) Well

training is Alex Nathanson on vocals and bass, Christian Van Lake on guitar, and Walo Carrillo on drums, the album will calculate for the month of August, we will do two shows in Lima on 27 June and 4 July, then Alex will return to California where he lives and then say that the fate is what is coming.

5) In the last 5 years the band has been discussed in blogs and journals. "You see this phenomenon of historical rescue? Incredible

fills us with happiness that this happens, we think that the music is too processed and there is a lack of relevant content, this in general terms, there is a big gap, and the people and the public is being given realized this and started to dig from the roots when everything was much more simple and spontaneous, this group came out of that stage and has retained the mystique to this day, this can be seen in the shows that I've done live.

We send a big greeting to friends from Uruguay and one day would be nice to play there, we ...
