*** The Blue Caps - "Paraguay 1969-1972"
Paraguay is among the few countries that had yet to be explored within the South American scene 60s/70s, so far. Born in Asunción in 1965, The Blue Caps were established in Argentina, where they spent nearly a decade. They recorded a few singles and albums, and as was the norm at the time, the record company forced them to record trade issues, so none of his records was consistent from beginning to end. So here's a selection of their best songs. Garage, psychedelic, 60s beat-pop ... the album opens with the pump scrotumtightening garage-psych''''Do not leave me, full of fuzz and psychedelic effects, the only song on the album sung in English. The rest of the issues also have good guitars, occasional fuzz, organ ... Limited to 600 copies, remastered sound, extensive notes, photos ... RECOMMENDED!
*** THE BLUE CAPS - Paraguay 1969-1972 (LP)
Paraguay is one of the very FEW Countries of South America Still Have not Had That STI own place in the 60's & 70's music reissue scenario, Until now. Born in Asuncion in 1965, Los Blue Caps found fame in Argentina where they remained for nearly a decade. They released a good number of albums and 45s, and as commonly happened back then, the record company forced them to record some mainstream songs, resulting in the fact that none of their LPs is great from start to finish but they really have a bunch of amazing tracks, that have been selected for this fantastic "best of" kinda vinyl release. Garage, psychedelic, 60's beat-pop, there's a bit of all that in here. Album opens with the astounding psychedelic garage stomper "No me dejes solo" with its psychedelic effects and effective fuzz tones, being the only English language song of the entire album. The rest of the album has nice guitar with some fuzz here and there, as well as cool organs. Limited reissue of 600 copies, with remastered sound, Extensive liner notes, photos ...
*** Blue Caps, the dream come true

The Blue Caps had much success in Buenos Aires in the late 60's and early 70's. Founded in full fever beat in 1965, composed by Rudy Michelleto Heyn (keyboards), Panchi Lopez Moreira (bass), Carlos Gomez Solalinde (2 nd guitar), Oscar Martinez P. (Drums), Rolando Percy (singer) and Anibal Rivera (lead guitar and address). Acted for four years at the top clubs Asuncion, such as Saxony, Centennial Mbiguá and others. Left for Buenos Aires in 1969 with the dream of conquering the great South American market.
were hired by the renowned record label EMI Odeon, where they recorded the albums "Let me look at you," "When I look" and "Sensational is you." In Buenos Aires, Oscar Martinez was replaced by drummer Rolando Kuki Percy Caggio and then left the band to be replaced by Sacha Bravo. Percy began a successful solo career that was welcomed by several African countries. The group toured the major cities of Argentina and his records were released not only in Buenos Aires, but also in Venezuela, Chile, Ecuador, Panama to the United States. The band was dismembered Anibal Riveros leaving only the original training. Appeared other albums, like "You'll return my love, I'll wait" and "Fifteen days." Finally, Rivera sold the name to an Argentine producer who continued to operate until 1984, with other musicians. Then Rivera opened the record store with the same name of the band in Asuncion, which then also became a record label. Under his label will release a compilation with the main themes of the band on CD. The album is published by Groovie Records Collectors and sold through the site de internet del sello a 16 euros. Incluye los temas más rockeros del grupo, que no son precisamente los más conocidos por el público.
